What is Pranas Copilot?
Pranas Copilot is an embedded, read-only chat assistant that knows your brand context and can answer questions using your Pranas analyses. It does not change your data or run actions.
What it can do
- Answer questions about your data. "What's my SOV trend over the last 30 days?" "Which competitor improved the most in security perception?" "Show me the top 5 sources I'm missing."
- Explain features. Functions as a contextual help layer — ask "what's a co-occurrence lift?" and it answers using the same docs you're reading now.
Where to find it
The Copilot bubble lives in the bottom-right of every authenticated page. Click to open the chat panel. Conversations are persisted per user, so you can return to previous threads.
Privacy and scoping
Copilot has read access to your data only — your brands, scans, perception runs, audits, and account settings. It does not see other users' data or any global aggregate. Conversations are not used to train external models.
Copilot or the UI?
| Task | Best route | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Ad-hoc data questions | Copilot | Faster than building the view yourself |
| Planning setup for a new brand | Copilot | It can explain the recommended steps |
| Explaining a metric or methodology | Copilot | Answers using your context and Pranas methodology |
| Creating or changing records | The UI | Co-Pilot is currently read-only |
| Detailed visual analysis | The UI | Charts and heatmaps carry more nuance |
| Exporting reports | The UI | PDF and data exports live there |
| Fine-grained edits to a single record | The UI | Direct and unambiguous |
When to use it vs the UI
- Use Copilot for: ad-hoc questions, verified analysis summaries, planning, and explanations of metrics.
- Use the UI for: detailed visual analysis, exporting reports, fine-grained edits to single records.
The two are complementary — most users alternate.
Limits
- Copilot can take a few seconds to respond on complex queries (it's running multi-step reasoning).
- It can't access third-party tools outside Pranas (no Slack, no email — yet).
- Long conversations are summarised internally to stay within model context windows; very old messages may be paraphrased.
